If you live in the Panama City area, you're probably already familiar with Scott Rossman. As the Sports Director for WJHG-TV you'll see Scott either attending, reporting or emceeing sporting events throughout the Gulf Coast.

Scott is returning for his 20th year with the Bay Point Invitational as the Host of the Friday and Saturday night Weigh-Ins with Co-Host Kristen Berset, bringing a whole new level of professionalism and entertainment to this well known event.

He began covering the Bay Point Invitational in 1988 as a reporter and after a few years was invited to act as a Co-Emcee. Scott jumped at the chance and eventually took over as Host. Scott also acted as anchor for the Invitational when it began airing live on WJHG-TV and Comcast Sports Southeast, which allowed millions of fans throughout the region to watch the event as it unfolds.

One of Scott's trademarks is the information he collects about the teams before the event. Then, as teams come in to weigh their fish, or turn in release videos, Scott gives the crowd some background about the players which in turn gives the audience a way to connect to both the fishermen and the sport.

Scott is a native of Miami, Florida, and a graduate of the University of Florida. He’s been married to Lisa for 19 years, who is also connected with the Bay Point Invitational through her job with our major sponsor, Galati Yacht Sales.
